Our Facilities At The Fairgrounds Is Open All Year
Individuals or groups who wish to rent the Grant County Fairgrounds, part of the Fairgrounds, or a specific building(s) can contact the Grant County Extension Office at 608-723-2125 for rates, regulations and scheduling.
The FAIRGROUNDS consist of 40 acres in an easily accessible location on the east side of Lancaster, Wisconsin just off Hwy 129. The grounds are well lighted for evening events and for security. Parking is available for approximately 1700 cars.
The YOUTH & AGRICULTURE CENTER is a brick building with the main auditorium measuring 76 x 96. This concrete floored hall has restrooms, a large stage with fully equipped sound system and Wi-Fi connection. The building is well lit and has air conditioning. The seating capacity in the auditorium will hold up to 600 people for banquet style seating. Just off the auditorium are two separate meeting rooms with each having kitchens facilities. These rooms measure 29 x 32 each and hold around 60 people per room.
The GRANDSTAND is masonry constructed with a seating capacity of 2000. Underneath the grandstand is a ticket booth, restrooms, a food catering area with stove, sink, refrigerator, freezers and lots of counter space with an area having heat lamps. Also there is a large walk in cooler with a bar area. The grandstand is attached to an oval half mile dirt track that has an announcer stand in the middle and a pit area in the back. Both the pit area and race track have speakers and are well lit.
The ECKSTEIN EXHIBIT HALL is one of our newest buildings constructed in 2011. It is metal and brick built measuring 60 x 100 with heated concrete floors, bathrooms and showers. It has a small counter top with a sink and refrigerator. This building has heat, air conditioning and lots of lighting. The seating capacity holds up to 300 people and also has a Wi-Fi connection.
The CROPS BUILDING is of metal construction measuring 50 x 100 with heat and lights. It has a concrete floor, restrooms and showers. This building is available to rent May 1 – October 31 due to storage during the winter months.
The LIVESTOCK BARN is constructed of metal and wood. The barn itself measures 90 x 218 with an auction area attached measuring 80 x 80 for a total building size of 170 x 298. It is fully lighted and has heat. The auction area has a sound system, Wi-Fi connection and bleachers. The barn itself can hold over 250 animals. This is a great facility for animal sales.
Two OPEN POLE BARNS on the grounds. Our dairy open pole barn measures 70 x 280 and our swine open pole barn measures 50 x 200.
